It is absolutely safe to provide the bank account number as

• No Identification Number, Mother's Maiden Name or Date of Birth is required at the point of registration. These information are usually required for authentication using phone banking.
• For DBS/POSB account holders, a security device has been issued recently for a 2nd level authetication on top of the user_id/password
• For DBS/POSB account holders, users may register their mobile phone as an added security for internet fund transfer
• Most importantly, login_id and password of your bank account is not required during registration
